Yeah I have 2017 1lt rs and it shakes when sitting still after I drive it for a little but it doesn't shake at start up. It's not extremely bad but definitely noticable

My SS has a bit of shake at idle, nothing crazy, but more than the average car. My understanding for the LT1 V8 is that it has a very aggressive stock cam, and that's what causes it. Not sure if the same holds true on the RS.

My transmission shook hard when the car shifted in gears 1-4. Took it to the dealer, they are replacing my entire transmission. I'd get it checked out I know there is an advisory for A8 transmission in our cars as of 2 weeks ago.

OP is not talking about shifting problems, he's referring to the car shaking at idle which would be engine related, not transmission related.

Usually, idle vibrations are contributed from a bad engine mount or if you have an aggressive cam angle. I know at least for the LT1 engine they actually come stock with a very aggressive cam angle (compared to traditional cams) and that's what causes shaking when in park or stopped at a stop light.

Do you know anything more about the advisory you mention?
