I see couple interesting things touched on here. First I think the camaro is just priced too high for its market. We can debate that all day though its just an opinion.
The most interesting posts I've seen here are regarding money supply and its effect on the economy. The economy isn't cyclical. There's also no such thing as inflation the way most people think of it. Its all got to do with how much fiat money the FedRes borrows into existence.
I'll just leave that there.

How many people slam their Honda Civics and Toyota Camrys? Spinning wheels and burning rubber between gears? I had fun in my car everyday I drove it, taking it to redline in first gear almost everyday, slamming second and third.
I drove mine hard as a DD, never had to stand on the brakes, so yes I did have my original brakes.

I saw an ad this morning for camaros like they run for the trucks all the time. Looks like there was some sort of discount they are adding right now. I didn't catch the whole thing.

I don't get why when slow sales of the Camaro are brought up, people bring up personal observations at local dealerships as a counterargument of some kind. Your local dealerships's sales are not necessarily representative of national trends, just like we saw in the recent elections where localized demographics may have a concerted bias where-as things are very different on a larger scale.
