JE Asymetric pistons in LS3

Has anyone used JE Asymetric 2618 pistons in any of their LS builds? They are light at 383 grams.

Looking at doing a 406 build in my LS3 with a 3.9" stroke K1 crank and Scat 6.125 rods that still nets 10.8:1 cr and has a comp hgt of 1.165 using stock heads and LS9 compressed gasket.

Using off the shelf pistons in 4" stroke is harder to keep around stock 10.7:1 cr.

JE part number is 323983.

Thanks,
Dan

They were installed in my LS3 based 427 when I bought the short block. No problems.

just curious why the 3.9 instead of 4.0?

From what I can find, it is easier to keep the CR at 10.7:1 with off the shelf pistons. Also opens the comp height of the piston a bit and does not pull the piston down so low at the bottom of the cylinder only giving up 10ci. I am still looking at 4" kits too...
