Unhappy Mysterious Knocking sound "stabilitrak off"...

So driving home from work (60mph),when all the sudden I hear a "knock" towards the front end. I slow down and take the right lane just in case, I try speeding up when all the sudden 2 lights come on "check engine" and a warning on my display "Stabilitrak off " the whole time I can hear loud fast knocking while the car hesitates to speed up.

Every time I pressed on the gas the knocking sound would get louder and the lights would come on with multiple warnings.

Pulled over and turned off the car....waited a few seconds while I inspected the car. Started the car everything went back to normal.

Any ideas?

This probably something I would go to a dealer about, not a forum.
