Having some issues that maybe some of you more experienced guys can help with!

1) Front brake rotors and pads need replaced. Any suggestions on brands?

2) Seat heaters.. Turn them on and they shut off within 5 seconds. Is it because it's summer and they are too hot already or is this a problem?

Thank you guys!! From what I'm reading this seems like the best place to go for answers!!

Gorgeous car!

1. Go back with the OEM pads, the stock Brembo pads are hard to beat. I even have some DIY pics if you need of the replacement, barely took me an hour to do on my own.

2. idk about the seat heaters, they might have a thermostat but I'm not sure

Carl your car looks great! I am curious about the white SS badge = non RS option, the cars that have the halo's have red SS badges = RS option. Got any pictures from the rear? The dove tail spoiler looks great on that car as well.

The OEM pads and rotors are very good on our cars.

I have heated Recaro's and they will stay on. Different years and different seats, sorry that I can't help with your answer.

The white is a vinyl overlay from the previous owner, it is gone now. I took the white off of the rear as well. It had vinyl on the SS and the Bowtie. The SS is black underneath and the Bowtie is gold.

The front I went ahead and deleted all of the emblems. I like em smooth

Nice ride, and welcome to the club!

I'm wearing Powerstop rotors and TRW ceramic pads and this combo is working great. No noise whatsoever, smooth and hard stopping power.

It wasn't always this way though. When I first got the Powerstop rotors, they squeeled with the evolution pads they came with... these had no 'skates' on them, but fit perfectly.

I couldn't take the noise any more, so I replaced the pads again with a Duralast set and had the rotors turned. But the Duralast pads did not have the 'skates' on them either and my front drivers side squeeled bad at moderate braking power after a little while.

So finally, I switched to the TRW pads. These did have the 'skates' on them and I used a bit of permatex brake quiet when I installed them and now its all good. Going on a few months now... Not one bit of squeal. Those 'skates' help prevent vibration and noise for sure... and of course I learned that here.

Don't ever get pads without them.

I got it all on Amazon;

check out ohio speed, or maryland speed, they both have great offers on rotors and pads. i went with the r1 slotted/drilled rotors and the ebc "red" pads. awesome setup for a daily and for all four corners it was around $600.

as far as the seats go, ive never turned them on in the summer, for one its 100+ here so never even thought about doing it haha.

but i know they have issues with the wires inside the the back of the seat rubbing and shorting out. its a very easy fix. unzip the back of the seat pull apart the foam and you'll see the wires, mine were broke, so i just spliced them back together and they were good to go.
