Escort smart cord
For those of you who have hardwired their radar detectors via the escort smart cord, where did you connect it to? In my 5th Gen I hooked it up to the fuse box on the driver side but read somewhere that the 6th Gen doesn't have that.

BCM Accessories port is where I am told it was hooked up to. I didn't personally do it, just had my audio guys do it. As for the mute button,

That's a slick set up. I take it they routed the wires down the a pillar and across the dash.

I did the same exact thing this past weekend...BCM connection works like a charm. Shuts off and on when you stop/start your car.

I had some car audio expert do it that's only there on Friday's and Saturdays do it along with my Forza controller, so I wasn't paying attention to everything unfortunately. I'm pretty sure he looked at the fuse box though to find which fuse it was and used some type of jacketed fuse or something like that to connect it. I honestly don't know anything about wiring cars and am probably using the wrong term, but that's where he connected the Forza controller as well. I can send you a photo of my fuse box later when I get home from the office if you want. There's also a video and thread out there on the forum somewhere with how-to instructions.
