High Speed Stability

Looking to improve the high speed stability on my 1le, it's a DD.

I have a ZL1 belly pan and rear spoiler already on. I have used Justice Pete's alignment recommendation it has helped but as I push past 100mph I can feel the rear push down and the front lifts a little. Since the car has a rake to it, maybe it's level at speed, it just feels weird. Is there a more aggressive front splitter that actually works? As I push past 140mph it seems to move around because of the aerodynamics. Could be the surface I am on, it really isn't the smoothest(Wisconsin pavement). Looking for advice if anyone has any???
Figure lowering might help and I want to put lowering springs on, just can't decide. DSE's are expensive and low. Just worried I won't be happy with BMR 1.25's.
Anyone notice a difference after they installed the ZL1 front extensions/canards?
I took the rubber air deflector off, didn't notice any difference. Is it really needed??? Should I add the ZL1 front wheel/tire deflectors?
Thanks in advance for any help.....

Check out the JPSS front lip package. Or aero sport concepts just came out with an updated version of theirs as well. Both guys race their cars so they know their stuff works.

If you put the 2014-2015 hood on with the hood vent then you will make the front end much more neutral (no lift). It will not do anything to generate down force but you can eliminate most of the front end lift due to high pressure trapped under the hood.

This is the route I plan to go eventually once I figure out what I want to do with the front bumper cowl lines that won't match up exactly. The 2014-2015 raised cowl is wider so it will not match up with the width of the cowl lines extending onto the 2010-2013 front bumper. I have talked to a body shop about moving the cowl lines on my 2013 bumper to match up with the 2014-2015 hood and they said it shouldn't be a problem. I just am trying to decide if I want to go through that trouble to have it done or if I would just live with the mismatch. Or another option is to buy a used 2010-2013 hood and install the 2014+ hood vent on it. Not sure if I like that route either though since the vent will now not sit flush with the hood.

So there are two ways you can go here but each one has pros and cons.

I have absolutely no issues at speed. Here is a clip of my 1LE running flat out and you can see by the video that all is smooth. Those that dont know this is from Sliverstate. I am running the 140MPH class, which means i want to average 140 for the 90 mile course. At around 8:20 in the video you can see me point, then a yellow sign #3. This is the speed up of the speed trap, and i went thru it at 157MPH, im not tuned so 155 is the limit, but my car will actually do 159

In my youth, I drove our '93 Z/28 at its top speed on a road in Mexiaco which I remember being published at 159 if memory served me correctly. It was not a pleasant experience, but long before that speed, the car got what I considered floaty (a lot of body movement on the suspension). Though I have not been that fast in Mexico in the 1LE, I can say that at the 120 or so mark it is very stable, much more so than the '93 was. I am not saying your car could not be better, they always can, but it seems pretty damn good to me compared to the cars produced in the past.

Thanks for the info/posts guys. I have looked at JPSS, a little pricey for something that won't get used that often. Nick S I totally agree.
Cornerspeed, have you done anything or its all still stock/oem?

I have hit the limiter on mine many times and the car is rock stable at 155 ,so the hood vent must work .

I have the ZL1 belly pan, 1LE splitter, an 14/15 extractor on a 10-13 hood and it's not bad over 110+ but it could be better especially if I want to get faster. I have a spare trunk lid that I going to put a Z/28 spoiler with a medium wicker and will also couple that with a extended splitter more than likely from ACS. I'm not sure how much you get from the ZL1 front deflectors but they do look good. You could talk to Pete over at JPSS about using Z/28 springs on 1LE shocks to get it down a little bit (Z/28 lite).

My SS used to get all kinds of float at the 120+ mark. I didn't like it.

I installed the 1LE splitter and it certainly helped a little, but still not comfortable at speed.
Keep in mind, 2010 shocks/struts are soft compared to 1LE.

Then came the lowering springs; 1.25 pfadt. That made a world of difference. 140+ was no problem. 150+ got a little sketchy.

get the springs. it will make the biggest improvement for not a lot of money.
I decided I didn't need a hood vent for aero.

I also notice my splitter points upward. It points higher in the center, does not look good from the side. I have noticed this on other 2013 1le's. It looks like it would catch air and create lift. Has anyone corrected this and how?

Thanks again everyone for their input.
