On star question

I just traded in my 2013 SSRS for a 2015 SSRS and I see that 2015 Camaro owners are supposed to get 5 years of free "basic" on star service. Is that correct? I would imagine that is the service that works with the downloadable app that allows you to start the car etc? The reason I ask is that when I saw it on the window sticker and on Chevy's web site it mentions it but when I mentioned it to the On star welcome lady she seemed surprised. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah.... no. You have to pay to use the app after 3 months, IIRC. "Basic", means "Basic"... as in, you'll get a monthly update on your vehicle stats. Basic.
