V6 gas mileage
Anyone had a MANUAL V6 long enough to share what mpg they are getting?

anyone driving responsibly enough to report their gas mileage?
I'm still on my first tank of gas. I'll follow up here once I hit 1500 miles. Most of my driving is city streets / stop and go.

Ive just run thru a tank and it was low, but its all around town stop and go.

This is precisely why I didn't buy the V8. Not so much because of the gas mileage but, because of the average speed. Average 18 mph - city driving sucks!
     I do imagine that my gas mileage will improve with time. And, I certainly hope the average speed will increase. I imagine that I will end up averaging around 20 mpg. That is exactly where I was with my GTI as well. edit: I should add that I enjoy driving in a rather spirited fashion.

I got 33 with my V8 in a 50ish mile trip at 65MPH.

Got 30.1 on a 50 mile average, not even really trying I was 63 I believe. On another trip I got 29.1 as a 50 mile high and 2ish as an overall average (hand calc) on a 400 mile road trip

What gas mileage are the V8 6 speed's getting? I know it's not good but we knew what we were getting ourselves into lol

Like a diesel, these direct injection engines take a while to start getting good mpg. You guys are only going to see it get better.

They will start getting better mileage around the 4000 mile mark. Also use non ethanol gas and you will pick up 1 mpg but it is not cost effective.
