V6 check engine on after remote start

My check engine light came on today after I did a remote start,
For starters
I have a 2015 v6 auto.
What happened:
I woke up in the morning, did a remote start to let the car warm up before I got in, 5 minutes later I got in the car, inserted the key and as I turned it the car shut off, I did not turn the key all the way, I only turned it into the second ignition position, and engine shut off.
I turned back the key to off position and removed key. Inserted it back in and started it back up, then the check engine light was on. Now the check engine light is on and the remote start does not work
Things to know:
I just got a oil change 200 miles ago. I used Mobil 1 synthetic and I also recently put a fuel injector cleaner into the tank.
I also have a ipf tune but it was done about 10-8 thousand miles ago
That is it.

call your local dealership, you're under warranty for a reason. Bring in the car for warranty diagnosis.

If you're curious what the code is (before you can make it into the dealership) i would say stop into any automotive store to get a free OBDII scan. Might be something as silly as you didn't tighten the gas cap.

Get it scanned prior to going to the dealer since you have a tune.

+1. Autozone does this stuff for free...or you could buy a Bluetooth OBD II Scanner from amazon for like $20.

Thanks guys, I called autozone but they said they are not allowed to pull codes in the state of California, so I'm screwed on the free scan, but I can buy a code reader, so. That's what I'm going to do. Hopefully everything goes well! On a side note what's up with the oil cosumption??

I have a 2010 V6 also with an IPF tune and get the CEL about every 4-6 months. Always the same code P2099 and or P2097 with has to do with the amount of air being forced through the cats. I have never had any problems just clearing the codes and moving on.

I'm sure its smog related. They don't want anyone going to autozone to get the check engine light removed right before undergoing a smog procedure.
