Converting to quad exhaust!

Want to convert my single out MRT v2.0 exhaust to quad tips, how easy is the conversion? What all does it consist of? Is it as simple as just cutting the stock tip off and welding the new quad tips on? Found a site for the diffuser and tips, just need to see what the install will consist of... have a buddy at a dealership that does side jobs for me, so want to let him know what he'll have to do, so he can give me a price quote.

Damn, 200 bucks to weld tips and cut off the old? My local mechanic I have been going to for a while now installed my Magan flow mufflers and removed the resonators way before I ever got my exhaust for $100 and installed my catback exhaust for $150.

My buddy at the dealer charged me 50$ to install my entire MRT v2 exhaust so this should be cheap lol. Will all he need to do is cut the current tip off and weld new ones on or what?

BlueRay, are those 3.5" out? debating between 3.5" and 4" out.

No it's not that simple no one ever thinks of this. The single tips would be all the way on the outter sides of the quad diffuser like in the pic so you would have to modify the exhaust first so it's center then cut the tips off

Ive been wanting to do this mod in my '14 SS because i have just the single outlets. I would love to have quad outlets. Looks so much better, imo!

Yea when I had mine done the shop had to make adjustments and measurements to get the tips lined up correctly. Not just a cut and paste job.

Before and after with my MRT V1.

Just based on the pics should give you an idea what needs to be done.

Will this still be the case if you are adding the quads to the stock muffler and 1LE difusser?
