Does anyone know if the ACS templates place the extractor in the same location as where everybody else here is placing it? the pics on their site makes me think it is further toward the windshield....but I could be stir crazy for looking at too many pics of vents....

I am thinking it should be moved back 2" toward the windshield. The baffle has a foam seal that goes against the radiator when installed and the water drips through it onto the fans. I am thinking of getting a plastic 1/2" angle length and epoxy over the foam area so the water drips back into the baffle.

Jerry, thanks for the pics, that's about what I expected would be removed.

I am thinking if I angle the blade back 45 degrees when I cut the front I won't have to remove any of the front brace material and the extractor being so shallow at that point should still fit flush. |

I didn't have to cut the front of the hood to clear anything. Cut the least amount needed to fit it in.

It does look like the extractor would not hit the brace in the very front. The bolts for the extractor are close to the front of it though. I'm sure you could make it work. |

Hey guys, going to wrap hood this weekend, but before I do any idea on why it wont sit flush? Maybe trim the hole a little more up front?

You've got all 6 bolts installed? It looks like just the middle is being pulled together but not the corners. Maybe loosen the middle bolts and tighten the corners more? Mine hugs the hood and bends where it curves, I had to loosen the top two because it was actually denting in the hood a little.

Did you reinforce the hood area next to the long side cuts?
Looks like the hood is pulling up in the middle. |

Don't forget about that weird fastener in the back. I pulled mine out and it sits flush. Or "hella flush" as the kids say.

There are small support/pieces of plastic, I call them "tits" that you have to snip off. Pull it off and look to make sure you got them all. I've had mine for a year.
