Agreed, Ford Performance definitely has an edge there with the blower even if the warranty is only 3 years. It's around $7k for the kit. Wonder how much it is to install it.

Now that is a fair question and comparison, and I think the answer is that Chevy will not having something similar offered for the Camaro, because it would undercut the price of the upcoming ZL1/Z28 that will have the LT4 by quite a bit.

At that price, you could get a GT with no options for $34k then add the kit and installation, and only be in the car for $45k. It makes the more expensive models look overpriced.

Apparently Ford isn't worried about that since they are building a GT500. Don't think GM would be either since this is just a power kit. There are many other features of the higher tier models to help ensure difference in values, including a 3 more years and 30k more miles on your warranty (in Ford's case).

Also this isn't the first year Ford has done this. To my knowledge they have offered power kits from the factory since the 5.0 was brought back in 2011
