T-Tops??
Maybe I've just been overdoing it by looking at all the camo photos, but I think I see a hint that T-Tops might be an option.
The first photo is from October: note how smooth the roof is, even the silhouette photo shows a smooth roof Now flash forward to the pics from this year and now we have obvious bulges in the roof that to me, look like padding. Why add the padding if you're not trying to hide seams and other giveaway lines on the roof? Plus, the roofline is much higher in front, which would serve well to redirect air from the cabin. This would be a "from the ground up" design that they're promising, right? Annnnnnnnnnd GO!

I doubt they are T tops. They are just massive roof bubbles.

T-Tops were the worst. I had 2 cars in my life with them. After the car was 6 months old they would squeak so bad I had to carry a can of wd-40 in the trunk. Also the sun would dry out the rubber seals and at 60mph the wind whistles would start. That's why they disappeared from cars.

I think what you are seeing is the same thing on '14-15's. Look at the roof line below.
It is just more pronounced on the 6th gen, probably to improve airflow.

Had T-tops in my '01 & they never leaked. But honestly never took them out. Unless the weather was perfect & you were going for a 2+ hour drive it may be worth it. But for the general 10-20 mile ride it was just never worth the hassle of taking them out & putting them back in while in a store/restaurant. |

Quality and fit and finish issues aside, it's hard to pass safety regs with T-tops.
