First I have ever heard of TC coming back on overriding the switch. I know for awhile my tune had it turned off completely but that has been fixed. The wife drives the car every once in a while. Anyway I'm going to look into that as soon as I can get the car out (still lots of snow and very cold weather). But back to the question, you should be able to stomp on it and break the tires away pretty easily, even more so with the throttle controller.

Never heard of anyone having a problem with the vitesse. I have seen people have some issues with controllers that plugged into the OBD port but not the Vitesse.

Think about it, why would they discount something that they have a hard time meeting the demand for now?

for anyone that's on the fence... i'm beating a dead horse, but its a worthwhile mod. (unless you're hard up on cash or 16) Its no supercharger, its no... power gain. But it certainly allows you to customize how the car responds. To anyone worried about you powertrain being overworked by the mod, you can always run at a lower setting. I keep mine a around 4-6 and its just fine, im not worried. To reiterate, this will NOT give you any HP gains... but will definitely make the car feel MUCH more responsive. If you're considering a ported TB, GET THIS FIRST. THE END.

True. No actual power gain, but throttle response is significantly improved. I was able to test it just in neutral while parked in storage. Heat the engine to temperature, give it a few good revs from idle to 3000 rpms, record the sound and speed that it revs on your phone. Turn the car off for at least 5 minutes. Install the VTC, (I set mine to SP6) turn the car on, hit the gas, the throttle opens SO VERY MUCH quicker it is awesome. I will however respectfully disagree with your position on the Ported Throttle Bodies- They too are a great and easy mod. The ported TB lets more air flow in faster and less restricted, so it is actually beneficial for very small power gains, but noticeably improved throttle response. I am going to go out on a limb here and say this- good ported TB's are a +1, the VTC is a +1 The Ported TB and VTC together is probably a +3 as the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
