14' and 15' Place in the 5th Gen Community

I went to my first cars and coffee event yesterday here in Greensboro, NC. Wow is all I can say. The cars were great, the people even better.

When I got there I pulled in towards the bottom of the parking lot. I parked near some vette guys and asked how parking went. They said park anywhere and welcome. I started walking around and saw some F Bodies back towards the top of the lot with some empty spaces.

I hopped back in the Camaro and parked next to them. We started talked and apparently I am one of the only 2 14's they have seen at cars and coffee. They were really car guys.

67 SS, 85 RS, 86 WS6, and an 01 Trans AM. These guys loved talking about their cars but more importantly made me feel welcome and asked tons of what I had done to mine. (Build in signature)

After a while one of them asked the question. Where do you foresee the '14 and possibly '15 Camaros fitting in the Gen 5 Community?

I never really thought about that to be honest. Are we owners going to be in the smaller maybe more niche group of Gen owners? A gen5 camaro with a refresh for only 2 years.

If you look back into those 67 until 02 , they also had refreshes every year or so
And thatS why one know what year they are just by walking by them
You don't want to have a twin brother that is a year younger , to you :-)

Since everyone feels free to share their opinion about how much they hate the 14's...
I think
A two year run of a much cooler, sleeker and aggressive looking car will make them more desirable.
Time will tell.

Cars & Coffee events are usually pretty laid back it seems and have many cool and laid back people to talk to. I've only been to a smaller one once and it was a nice time.
