1st to 4th for economy

I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, I know it was on previous Fbody forums. I'm new to the site though I don't know how to search forums just yet

Is there anyway to turn off that damn 1st to 4th gear thing? It's really annoying and sometimes chokes my car out..

Hold the clutch in and rev the motor slightly and it will go away.

I hate when this happens, get the skip shift eliminator that will fix it just make sure you install it correctly, I heard you can put it in wrong and it won't work

Tune and you may loose your power train warranty, install the skip shift eliminator and the problem goes away with no warranty issues. Easy install, just plug it into a wire connector near the top of the transmission on the driver's side and your good to go.

Works great, now the transmission shifts like you would expect it to.

I would not have thought this would be possible, interesting. Maybe if you do not get the connectors pushed in all the way or something.
