At this point that's about what he's looking at by trading in. You guys are acting like he can just return and exchange it and pay the difference. Regardless of the down payment given if at all we are talking about a $7k+ loss as soon as he drove it off the lot. A 2ss with 1le is going to run him at least $3k+ more than his 2ss was. That's $10k+ alone. Assuming he gets good deals. No bank is going to carry over such a large sum and finance a 1le for $60k so he's looking at a substantial down payment if he hasn't given one. Unless we're talking about a 1ss 1le. Then he's just trading in some mods for others and he's still taking a bath. Talk about used and I'd never consider trading a new car for a used one as an upgrade unless he's so hung up on the "name" itself. That's a hell of a cost to pay for being able to say you have a "1le" ..

Actually, I just got back from the dealer. They have found 1 1LE. I have positive equity on my current camaro due to a decent down payment. With that being said. The price difference for the new 2014 1LE is ding ding ding ---$12. This is mainly due to the 0% Financing and trade in value of the 2SS/RS.

I am just waiting on the dealer that has the car to do the crappy key job and send her on the way.

Riiiight.... I'm going to go ahead and let the ones that don't know basic math go ahead and believe that one. But hey. It's your money. Definitely don't have to go on the internet and explain what you do with it.

So a loan for 78 months at 3.2% is $568.68 per month.
$3,000 positive equity on the car
New loan is 72 months at 0% at $555.57

I am no mathematician but that is $13.11 off by $1.

I've nothing better to do so...

They supposedly gave him $43k for his used 2ss as trade in and sold him a $43k 1Le. As per his numbers. He owed $40k since that's what 78 payments of $568 with 3.2% as interests comes to and he he hadn't made a payment yet so he had $3K positive equity bringing the 1LE to $40k at 0% for 72 months with payments of $555.

So... That's a 2SS 1LE right? I mean $43k for a 1ss 1le sounds a bit high

Amen. I could buy a Ferrari with all the cash I've lost on frequent trade-ins. It's my only vice, so I figure "what the hell".

Why do you want a 1SS instead of a 2SS?
If it's the leather seats we can make a deal
