Question on fog lights

Hey everyone, this is my third post. I have a 2010 SS, my question is I see other Camaros on the street with just the fog lights on. I can turn on the fog lights without the headlights but then parking lights come on also. Is this possible on a 2010 model?
Thanks

What you are seeing is people with the daytime running lights on. On 2010-2013 Camaros with the RS package, the lower lights are actually DRL's. On Camaros without the RS package, they're fog lights.

There is a member that makes custom harnesses that can probably do what you want. His user name is 2SSRS@Gen5diy

Fog Lights

First you need to find out if you have a RS package. My SS had a RS package
so I just hooked up one little harness behind the passenger side fender well.
Then I changed out the yellowish fogs to a bright white LED to match the halo`s.
I purchased everything at http://www.gen5diy.com.

Thanks everyone, I do not have the RS option. That is what's so great about this forum, you can learn something every time you log on.

Ok, so I have 2 dumb questions.
1) do you have to purchase 1harness for each side?
2) how do you get just the halos to stay on all of the time?
I have a 2010 2ss with the rs pkg.

Search for the...
All in one DRL Halo plug and play harness... Works great easy to install.

To get halos that is...

As far as one side, for this harness; You will need to access both sides, change side marker bulbs if you want them to blink and run part of the harness across from passenger side to drivers side.

To get just halos....at start up your rs will have just running lights (fogs).
Turn light switch off and back on 1 click. This will turn fogs off and halos on. You are now in manual mode. Turn another click to turn headlamps on or 1 back to turn halos off. Remember that you're in manual mode so halos wont go off or headlamps come on automatically. You'll stay in manual mode until you restart the vehicle.

If it's dark and you're in auto mode and your headlamps are already on you can turn lights off manually and back one click to have just halos and one more click to turn headlamps back on after cruisin' the scene.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

But doing what is described above also turns on your taillights, side marker lights, etc. in the daytime, correct?

RS package. I use the single side plug and play connector that let's you use the DRL with your parking and or headlights. I used the 7.5 watt LEDs then later bought the 11 watt. They are not blinding but if your concerned get the 7.5 watt LEDs. I've never had anyone flash their high beams at me. Really love the look of them.
