Their response:
I’m sorry, I guess we were thinking hundreds of dollars vs thousands off. We are a little flexible, but not that much. I told them then to give me their bottom dollar because I can get a 2013 fully loaded for less than their 34.6 listing. My local dealer will sell me a 2013 (after rebates) for $33.9k (includes TTT&F).

They said their lowest amount is 33.7k. I'm walking. Going to my local dealer to look at their 2013's. Didn't want a Camaro with a MyLink radio, but I'll just get over it.

My gut told me something was wrong when I saw it still sitting on their lot, but thought maybe I found a good deal. Oh well. Their loss.

Keep looking, you can get a '13 for less than that if you look hard enough and are willing to drive a little to pick it up.

Glad to see you kept your resolve! They should've jumped all over your $30k offer, but hey if they wanna keep it forever more power to 'em!

As an aside, I bought my 12 2SS RS Convertible new for 38.5 back in 2012. 33.7 for a 2 year old coupe is insane.

My experience of the last year has been dealers are more than happy to let cars sit on their lots at sticker 1-2 years past delivery. Doesn't make any sense to me but they must not care after a certain point. I had a dealer quote me the sticker price as the best on a '12 Regal GS. Why would you buy a 2 y/o car for 5k more than the newest model? It's baffling.

You guys are quoting some great prices. I'm going to have to pull out my folder to figure out why I paid so much more for '12 in late '11.
