Also the difference between the costs on a supercharger vs a cam is quite a bit. Someone quoted gains of 40-60hp with a cam. If you use this as your comparison, then you will be only comparing a baby cam or blower grind cam. If you get an aggressive grind VVT cam you can add 80-100hp and there are some cammed cars that are flat out faster than blower cars.
So just depends on the route you want to take. Cost wise the cam is easier. If you plan to make BIG HP in the future, then a blower will be the better route due to its capability in the long run to make more HP. But it's gonna cost more.

This is good if you don't do much else HP wise. If you do a blower or even an agressive cam/heads build the gears will be too low. From what I've read from others on this site, which helped me to decide, I went with the 3.45 gears from a manual car. They seem to be just right and aren't too low once you add more power. 3.91's are neck snapping even on stock motor but possibly a little too low once you step the power up. Which you will. It's addicting.

VVT. Or you could ditch the VVT if you don't like broad power bands.

Get with Rhino and Stay with a VVT cam!! You won't regret it! His cams don't just put out high numbers on a dyno, they back it up at the track!

Vvt-4 cam and get ride of dod long tube headers that will sound good and haul ass
I really like that with vvt you can make big tourqe and hp all over the power band and not just at the high rpm where you may not use it. The new vette has vvt
