I adjusted the height & brightness when I got it... haven't touched it since. Forgot that you could turn it off until I saw this LOL
It's to the point where I forget to look down to check in my MR2 or my wife's Yaris |

Leave it on all the time. One of the reasons I picked the Camaro over the Mustang. I don't think that it is LCD, but rather a type of fluorescent light source, I think it is called something like cold-cathode, but I may be remembering wrong about that (memory is the second thing that goes when you get to my age!). I really miss it when I am driving my wife's minivan or my F150.

Always on and love it. Never been a distraction. Best feature is I can change to mph from Canadian metric when I cross the border.

Don't use it that much honestly, if you use it during the day with polarized glasses you can't see it. If you happen to be driving behind a white or bright colored car you can't see it. It may just be me but I have the speed on my dlc because there's really no other thing that needs to be monitored in real time. Why would you need to see your mpg all the time? I've also found that in rural areas where there are no lights it obstructs your view of the road quite badly especially if it's raining.

Can I change my vote? lol
I earlier wrote how I almost never use the HUD...that I initially found it distracting. Well, you can now officially count me as a convert to the other side...it's on all the time now! |

HUD always on, usually rpm/mph, but occasionally switch to G's/mph on a winding road. These days I have mpg on the DIC so I can optimize MPG for my daily commute.

24/7. It's hard for me to drive a car without HUD now.
