Sam's Club just quoted me $310.02 for the GY Eagle F1 Supercar F2 285/35R20 100Y. The lesser tire, the 92Y was around $20 more per tire. Item number 290143; not sure if it's a right or left side tire.

Does anyone know if the Michelin pilots are also better in the cold? Not talking extreme cold, will they just survive better than the Goodyears say down to 30 or 20 degrees? Jim |

Goodyears will be one of the if not the worst for cold temps in that range. I saw the Michelin SS of this same size on a GTR and they were way too soft for my liking and no where as firm as the Goodyears, the GTR wiggled way too bad for me to like the support. Michelin SS are noted for great grip and comfortable ride due to the soft sidewalls. Personally I prefer the Goodyears for that lively suspension feeling. Tirerack rated the BFG Rival as being stiffer than the Michelin SS for track use but prefer the Michelin for its comfort on the road. The Goodyear kills the BFG Rival in 285-35-20 for firmness that keeps the car where it should be not letting it slobber like you need more tire pressure. In this case Goodyears FTW.

Does the warranty assume you are going to rotate them? The different rim sizes make that difficult on the 1LE.

You could remove the tires and replace to ensure they rotate the same direction but I'm not sure there's value in this if they last about 15k miles anyway.

Now a 295/35/20 Pilot Super Sport set up would be real sweet! Do you think there would be any rubbing issues with the front tires? I'd like the 295/35/20 on the front and 305/35/20 or even 315/35/20 on the rear.

Plus shipping. There's no shipping added to the Sam's price, only tax.

Are you able to put all season tires on this car when the summer tires are done? I know you would lose performance, but curious if you can put something other than summer on the 1LE and still be ok.
