Nice pics! Love the hood insert. Gonna put a bowtie on the back? I did the same thing as you (used the magnetic strip with the bowtie cutout) when I took my rear bowtie off to paint it. It wasn't bad by any means but it just didn't look complete IMO.

Thank you everyone again.

My plan is not to build a show car, but a track car. I my mind there is no reason a track car can't look as good as it possibly can...

My next step is to complete the satin stripe on the roof and trunk. LE1 spilter and ZL1 rockers.

I would love to get a hold of the black ZL1 wheels but it hasn't worked out for me yet. Besides I still need to get a baseline on the track and make my changes afterwards. I do love the stock RS/SS wheels (other option is running them squared - 4 rears) and was about to powercoat them black before this shoot. Now I think I will dip them to make sure I like the look. Never really wanted a ZL1 clone, but I did want something for the hood. Something functional. Living in Seattle and the rain we get, I liked the ACS insert and the way it handled rain better than the Hex vents. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the Hex, but I wanted something different.

Funny story about the rear bowtie. I took it off and ordered the vinyl for the back. I wanted a full piece and was going to replace the bowtie afterwards... well, I ordered the wrong piece. Put it on and never ordered a new bowtie. Now I kind of like it. I think it doesn't look right to have that middle section blank but this way it gives me a clean look and I still sort-of have a bowtie.

Thank you.

I would love the 1LE wheels, but I'm painting these black with red pin-striping to stay with a stock look... kind of.
