zl1 bumper conversion?

Hello guys I need your advise. Recently somebody backed into my car which cause a dent and chipped the paint. The body shops estimate is $999 to repaint the bumper (car rental is not included) Should I just ask for cash then I will buy my own zl1 bumper? And how should I deal with the adjuster because I have never done this before. Should I just call and say just give me 1k then I'm happy? I already have the go signal to repair my car in the shop but I was thinking about the Zl1 bumper or maybe just suck it out and add it to the car payment. Thanks!

Tell the adjuster that you are going to fix it and to make the check out to you.
Then go here for the complete ZL1 bumper kit.

True. But for another $500ish you have a full conversion. Plus if you planned on upgrading in the future anyway this is win win.

you're basically getting a zl1 front end for the price of a regular bumper.
