I think the over 500ft/lbs is a typo. LS7s make ~440 torque. No way they got 60+tq out of it.

I don't buy the rough ride idea. I guess everything is relative. Not doubt my '69 Pro-touring is a rougher ride than the '14 Z28. But, it's not like the 69 is an uncomfortable ride. Maybe people are getting soft these days. I'd buy a Z28 in a heartbeat if hadn't just purchased a ZL1.

Correct, however with 12.5:1 compression, direct injection and cam profile similar to the C7 (450-hp, 450-tq estimated out of 6.2 L) it would be possible (particularly with long tube headers and 3" exhaust) at the flywheel. No mention of this for 2014 however but for a 3,800-lb track car 500 lb-ft of torque is a useful target to have since that is what allows the ZL1 to have better lap times (most tracks) than the GT500 by using it's superior traction to lay down the torque to generate higher corner exist speeds. From: http://www.chevroletperformance.com/...2397&engCat=ls "the LS7 uses a 7.0-liter aluminum dry-sump block, CNC-ported cylinder heads, and titanium rods and valves to pump out 505 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque." 30 lb-ft could be gained with CAI, low restriction exhaust and tuning |

The shocks are 4 way adjustable. Tuned for both high speeds and low speeds. So it is entirely possible that it will ride decently on the street....
but it is a racecar so who cares! |

Just for fun...what performance difference would A/C make?....Perhaps as it is an option, just wondering if it would be designed so you could by-pass with a different belt or whatever if desired...
....Some may want A/C for street use, but not want it for their track days and have a power loss...??? |

If it's off doesn't it freewheel? It will add some weight to the nose though. I can't imagine you'd see much difference in lap times with it off.
