New SS Pulling To The Left.

Hi everyone. Just got my IOM 2SS on Saturday!!!!!!!!!! One question. I'm new to driving a manual. When we took it out for the test drive everything seemed fine. After I bought the car and left the dealer after they had closed up I missed a shift and the car seemed to start pulling slightly to the left afterwards. Don't know if the two are related or not. Just seems like an alignment issue but it didn't seem like it was pulling to the left before I missed the shift. It doesn't pull alot. Just when I let go of the wheel it won't go straight it will start to pull left. Anyone have any ideas? I have a full warranty on it.

Moved to the camaro issues/problems section. I would get the alignment checked. The other possibility is that your tires are not properly inflated

Probably an alignment issue. Idk, when mine started to do that, it was my rear... Spider gears were shot... Ended up replacing my rear with the DSS 9'

I'm pretty sure your missed shift has nothing to do with the steering pull. As for the pull itself, check your tire pressure. If pressure is good, it might be the roads you are driving on. The wide tires on the SS track the grooves in the road set by car traffic. Find a smooth road with no crown and see if your car still pulls to the left. If it still does, take it to the dealer for an alignment.

Cool thanks guys. I'll check tire pressures and if that doesn't work I'll make an appointment tomorrow for it to get looked at. What are the spider gears?

Spider gears are inside your rear differential.. Hard to explain.. You'll know they are bad when you have a 1 wheel burn out... I was told that the stock rear would hold 800 rwhp... But I only have 628 rwhp and tore mine up in know time. Lol.

Be sure to post up the fix to your problem.

Will do. I'll check and level out all the tire pressures when I get off work tonight. Perhaps I should do my first burnout in this car and see if both wheels turn.

Have an appointment to take it in tomorrow. Went out and did a burnout yesterday and laid completely even double strips. Quite impressively long strips I might add. So hopefully it's just the alignment. Will post tomorrow after I take it in.

May also be radial runout with one of the front tires. If the radial belt slips sideways during manufacturing, it will cause the tire to pull to the offending side. Tire has to be replaced if that's the problem. Acts just like the car is out of alignment--immediate pulling.

Just took it in today. And the culprit is......... The alignment was off. Mainly the rear alignment was way off. Maybe due to my mis shift? Who knows. I can let go of the wheel and it stays way straighter now.
