I'll put together a DIY on making them. I've been asked how much to make them. Honestly it would probably take me to long for someone to wait. I do have a extra set of tail lights but I wouldn't want to deal with the shipping and core charge BS. This is why I've done it for local cars so far.

So let me see if i got this right ? you are masking off the 1/2 moon so how does the brakes light up ?

Basicly this is all I've done. First I smoked the red lens with a few coats of Nite Shades. Clear coat over, sand them with 600 grit first then 1200 grit. Buff the lens with rubbing compound. Then I cut the lens off. I have a Dremel with a nice plastic cutting wheel. It makes clean cuts. Then I mask off everything BUT the honeycomb. A few coats of white plastic primmer then a few coats of high temp flat black. I also painted the backside of the reflector on the red lens so it has the "U" shape with the light. Silicon it back together and let if sit over night. That's it.

This is what it looks like inside.

I'm gonna try something new. Paint the outer chromed parts gloss white. I hope it gives it a "glowing affect" vs reflecting light.

The afterburner effect just gets brighter with his version. Not enough light for me. I want people to know when my brakes are on.

I hope to have one light complete done sometime next week. I'm gonna remove all the clear and Night Shades from the lens. Gonna just reapply one coat of Night Shades instead of 3.

Another way to do this could be to use the Night Shades to smoke out the honeycomb instead of completely blacking it out. This way some light will pass but it would still have some affect.

Yeah this thread is over a year and a half old and while there have been teases of product from Tony here and there, there has been little discussion of when they'll be available for purchase or what stage he is in development. I sold my Camaro so, I don't really have a complaint. This is just an observation from a consumer standpoint. If you're going to tease a product that people are hot for, give some type of time frame in which to expect the product. If you don't have a definitive answer on when to expect it, at least update on progress. At the rate you're going, they'll be releasing the gen6 Camaro by the time you're finally ready to start selling these things. Potential buyers are sick of waiting and are moving on to other options.
