Evan, how often am I going to have to shell out that $250 though? I could easily afford my Camaro, but it looks like I may become car poor after the upkeep!

for most people, once a year or even once every two years perhaps. you would only need to make sure you buy a good $20 microfiber towel to dry your car with after every wash. that's usually when most scratching occurs, because a lot of people just use a bath towel or something, which is not advised.

another trick is never touch your paint unless you're washing it, and lastly, bird crap is acidic and must come off immediately (via washing)!

i think the buffer and all of the products alone have cost me well over $300, but i have been doing it on 2, going on 3 cars now. products suck because one will be the best one year, and the next year it's something that's way better. so i try to keep up with the latest and greatest, but since i only detail my own car, that usually results in me having a buttload of products that only were used a few times.

looking back on it, i'd opt for the $250 annually instead. but since i have all the products now, may as well do it myself.

in other news, i landed in mesquite this morning!! too bad i can't pick it up there--that's actually closer to me than the grapevine dealer!

i presume i can stop calling the CSX number now, as it's not going to be on a train anymore? or will that number at least let me know when it leaves mesquite (on the truck)? that might be counter-productive seeing that if it leaves the station in mesquite, it will probably be at the dealer within an hour.

what was your experience with the transit time from mesquite, glo?

Mine got to Mesquite on a Thursday, and was at Classic Chevrolet on a Saturday. You will probably get your car Tuesday!!

Damn! The transit time is making up for the lost week stuck in 3400-land. I went from Oshawa to Nevada in exactly one week. I should be off the railroad later today in CA...coast-to-coast, and off the railcars, in exactly one week!

As far as options go... the cargo mat is rubber, kinda thin in places, but nice w/ Camaro logo, etc. keeps things from sliding around. I got 2 sets of light grey floor mats, 1 set standard carpet, 1 set 1/2 rubber, 1/2 carpet with Camaro Logo. Nice! I will use the standard here in the winter, and change them out in summer.
The AAC dRL/Foglight kit (or Fieldgoal's kit on the "other forum" as it is a way better harnes, no splicing wires) is also going to be on the way, $100 and color matches the hid's and use as fog light at night instead of turning off.

My railcar is off the train, so she'll be at the dealer by the time I get back to CA. The killer for me is that I have to have paperwork overnighted to me from my selling dealer, then overnight back to her, so that we have wet signatures...and she's at SEMA through Saturday, and her dealership is closed Sunday...so although I'll be able to go check her out this Saturday, she won't be coming home with Daddy until Wednesday a.m.

I'm just glad that I don't have to wonder where she is in the process / track her anymore...that's been the hardest part.

My 45th has been sitting at the dealers lot since 10/24 and the ground effects are MIA. I even e-mailed Chevrolet customer service, they are working on it. It sure would be nice to get my camaro. I have parts in my garage to put on and I can't do it. I actually drove down to the dealer last night to install the convertable strut tower brace, but they allready closed for the night. I know they park it in the lot during the day to free up a service bay and put it inside at night. I figured I could slip it on and they wouldn't even know it.
