Gear drive?
Does anyone know of someone who make a gear drive to replace the timing chains on the camaro L99/LS3?
I don't like timing chains |

So true I was there too at a very young age until I found out that they mimic the sound of a supercharger

While technology has advanced, there is no replacement for a good gear drive setup vice a chain or belt as both will eventually stretch. PJs were one of the first mods I did to everything I have driven over the past 30+ years, until I picked up the 99 and then 02 SSs.
As for the whine... Love it, and I'm nearly 50 and still mash the gas for fun. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about timing in the 2010, but a gear drive to boot..... Don't think I ever want to grow up, but then, I wouldn't ever want to be younger than 20 again either!!

I just called them and found it that it is for competition use only, because it removes the oil pump and you have to convert to a dry sump system. So I am still looking for one. Same as you I wanted to do this while installing a new cam.
