thud under console - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ive been hearing this for a little now. When i go over certain bumps i can hear and feel a pretty loud "thud" near the center of the car.

It feels/hears like its coming from under the center console. and it almost feels like it rattles a bit. I thought at first it was my ipod jumping up and hitting the console lid when i went over bumps so i removed it.

But sure enough even with the empty console it still makes the noise. Its a pretty dense sounding thud. I can recreate it, but only on one patch of road right outside my neighborhood.

What do you guys think it could be?

I had a thud rattle similar to that after I added haders. My husband put it up on the lift and discovered the exhaust pipes were hitting the tunnel brace in the center of the car. He ordered a new one and I haven't heard it since then. sory for the size of the pic I don't know how to change it

See i have stock exahust tho.

But i guess thats a possibility. I wish i had a lift to jacke the car up and see underneath. must be nice haha!
