I'm sorry but I disagree, this isn't a police state. And I wasn't racing between lights. I got on it for a few SECONDS and he was pretty clearly being an ass about it by bumping the ticket up for NOTHING.

A law is not supposed to be vague. If you can't look at someone and say "do they meet this clear criteria" and come away with a solid answer and not just "we apply it as best we can" then it shouldn't be a law. or it should be written better.

I mean, how am I supposed to stay within a law that there is NO defined parameters for?

You tell me not do to more than 55mph, thats clear, and I can tell when I'm violating that.

You tell me not to accelerate "rapidly"...what the f**k does that mean?

That's like making it illegal to hurt anyone. Ok, so, if I step on your toe, that hurt and it was another person so, thats a crime. Or maybe hurt means I hurt your feelings. Maybe I hurt you by making a dead baby joke or a catholic priest joke.

It's pretty dang easy to understand why vague laws are bad.

Which, BY THE WAY, the thing I take most issue with is applying a vague law, and intentionally giving me a "worse" ticket for no reason.

Far as this conversation is concerned he didn't even give me a ticket for "rapid acceleration" so his point is moot. he gave me a ticket for speeding, which I wasn't.

OP, I think the reason you're getting so many negative responses to your situation is your attitude. You've been belligerent and confrontational throughout this thread. Just go back and read through your posts. Maybe you'll see what I mean.

I dunno, I don't think you should hinge your justification on the idea that you only got on it "for a few seconds" because these Camaros can get up to 60mph in just a few seconds...

Now, replace your "a few seconds" with "a split second" and maybe your argument would go better

Wow Wish a mod would shut this string off it has become a flamefest. I got an idea instead of Camarofest next year we can do flamefest (foam weapons only) and no hitting the cars.

If you are going to make a point about a law how about do everyone a favor and post it with your comment.
