We totally jacked it lol! There are many more people here that understand the hard work put into affording these cars than not. You've got a lot of support and encouragement in that respect! I don't even know you, and I'm so proud! =)

Thanks so much for everything!

Reading this makes me thank God my parents didn't have the money, and well, they have more brains than to do that. Working for what you want makes you appreicate it all the more.

Although I will say if his parents can afford to buy him a 40k car im sure hes set for life anyway he looks at it. I think buying a car with your own hard earned cash makes it last longer and makes you take care and enjoy it way longer.

Nah, I bought all but my first car with my own money, and It doesn't make you want to keep them any more. I would have much rather had someone give me all the cars I've owned. I would have a lot more money in the bank.

Nice car!

Congratulations on your Camaro!

This is what I drove in high school (didn't get it for graduation, it was my grandfather's car...but I had a set of keys!)

Haha true it would be nice to have that money. I didn't buy my truck but I still take care of it with a passion. Which reminds me, if it stops raining im gonna clay bar, polish, wax, etc.

Congrats!

I’m 19 and working a part time job, attend college and all I make goes toward the car payment/maintenance and school...but it’s the feeling I get when I pay the car payment each month that makes me appreciate the car even more...

It's been more than a few years since I graduated high school, but when I get in the Camaro it's like I'm 18 all over again.

Make some great memories in that car of yours, kid, and be safe doing it.

Good for you................kid.

If you think this is bad I grew up in a small suburb of L.A. where kids got brand new Range Rovers, Porsches, Bimmers, Benzes....you name it...did any of them appreciate it? Can't think of one that did, but hey I'm sure there are some that do. So for all the hard work, it is what it is. He's 17 and got a brand new Camaro SS. For me as well as many others I do believe our cars will mean quite a bit more having had to literally earn them. Here's to them, and to us.

+1 but one thing we don't know is that if he was getting an SS for his graduation from his parents, I wonder is the A6 was a condition, or he just doesn't know how to tame an LS3 M6. Drive a manual with 426 horses kid, and THEN I'll be impressed. Not so easy to drive a car with this much power when you can't use two hands all the time. Congratulations! You graduated from High School, but now you have to graduate from Muscle Car 101. Anybody can drive an automatic. Driving the A6 is like going to a comedy club and listening to jokes for a few hours and the comic never gives you the punchlines for any of them.
