One of the best things about that car are the sequential tail light directionals!

I still think the rear looks like a joke though, way oversized lights, but the front looks great.

Glad the Stang is coming back the way it should. I think it went downhill after they went away from the 5.0 in the GTs. I hope they keep the price low so that more people can enjoy the car. Afterall, price is what sold (no pun intended) me on the Camaro.

Based on that I think you're going to need those things on your car to be competartive on the track (brake fade and grip are important) so if you put one up against an SS you have to factor in the actual weight of the car, not the base model with skinny all-season tires and wimpy brakes (compared to the track pack).

Just because its the base weight doesn't mean that's how much the GT will roll in at in a comparison.

We already know the GT is better on a road course (C&D) but we don't know by how much.

I digs it. If I weren't getting a Camaro this would be second choice. I'm with TTS on things having gone down-hill after the discontinuation of the old 5.0. Now the Mustang packs competitive performance with a modern not entirely retro look. Not to mention it's probably going to be a complete bargain.

That's going to make a few people angry, if it's true. So, what are the tweakers going to get to play with? Forced induction, typical boltons, yeah. But with only a little room for a displacement gain......why would Ford do that to their customers who they know are going to want to play?

How much of the market is going to want to do that though? I haven't read through all of this, nor have I looked at the specifics of the engine (block, bore, etc.) but if the engine bay can handle a 5.0, what's to stop people from using older (or even newer) 302 blocks, granted most are from a 289 block, as the base and just going from there as a drop in?

i don't like the way the body of the mustang looks. the new tail lights don't look right to me.

it just looks like the designers tried to mix a little of the old style of muscle cars with the new but they gave up half way through.

Agreed. That engine is nice but the car that surrounds it looks like shit.

I saw a pic of the dash and it was lit up pink. I HOPE this is adjustable because it looked like pepto bismol.

the people who want to seriously "play" will simply move on to the larger block.

As for the lesser people who "only" want 600-750 rwhp will be ok with FI and some pistons.
