Went with Todd for my '21. I don't drive it as much as I want to (under 4k miles) so I went 96 month/84k miles. I daily'd and took road trips for several years in my 4th gen and barely ticked over 100k miles in that over two decades so hopefully I should be good. Much smoother experience than I expected and much much cheaper than my local dealership spitballed when I asked them.

I was just quoted $2696 for 96 months and 80,000 miles! GMPP Platinum $0 deductible!
Is this decent or are there cheaper out there? Thank you!! |

What company is the holder of the policy? Folks should look into Endurance, or Fidelity aftermarket warranties, too. I went with Fidelity and got 10 yr / 100k miles (from the date I bought the warranty) w/ $250 deductible for my car, 22 ZL1 9k miles, for ~$2300 a few months ago. Fidelity is one of the "go to" companies for the out of warranty 911 crowd, they are 100% legit. Can get a Fidelity quote here.

It’s a great plan, mine expires in 2 months and they won’t write me anymore. Once the original power train expires it’s very hard to find a company that will write a policy. So I just did my own preventive care and hopefully everything else will hold up. I did my oil pump.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe in warranties? Specially extended
I've read some nasty stories about them, has anyone actually used it and had a good experience? |

ok, what is the current lowdown on an actual GMPP extended warranty?
in my area( north east florida) chevrolet dealer quoted,3 year/36000/$100 deductible $2960! and thats from an aftermarket insurance company called Fidelity. I asked if they offer an actual GMPP from GM, and he said NO?!?! PS not interested in an aftermarket warranty, to many loopholes in them, as i’ve known in the past when I was a service manager for a honda dealership in NY. |

I also had a 2016 Traverse that had some clear signs of QA issues coming out of the factory (not sure it was built on Monday morning or Friday afternoon, but clearly no one was paying attention to the details). After much back and forth with the local rep at the time about the issues, they offered to add the five year full warranty to the vehicle at no cost and that turned out to be a blessing in disguise when the transmission finally went at 59k miles. I've been fully considering one for the Camaro specifically because I don't drive it much and I don't want to get caught with out-of-pocket heavy repair bills for the convertible top or the glass in the top, but it seems that every plan out there specifically excludes the ONE thing I'm interested in covering. So, I'm not interested... |
