Is my car shifting normally after a circle D torque converter install?

Hey everyone,

Just got my car back after having a Circle D torque converter installed and a tune done. Overall, the car feels great so far but I'm wondering if the way it's shifting is a normal result of the torque converter upgrade or if it might be a tuning issue. The shifts are definitely firmer, and I've noticed that when I let off the gas in 5th or 6th gear, the car downshifts pretty hard ( jerks the cars) , This only happens on one gear.

Is this a normal behavior after the torque converter installation, or could something be adjusted in the tune? Any insights would be appreciated!

I can't tell if it's downshifting when you let off the gas or not. I'm wondering if you mean it's upshifting when you let off the gas or are you talking about the way that it upshifts when you're on the gas. And what stall did you get? The jerks that your getting depends on how much pressure that is set up in the tune. Like the upshifts, the adaptive oncoming pressure presets, and whether or not if your torque reduction is all turned off.

Hmmm.. Now I'm second guessing when it does it.. Lol
So if I step on the gas, let's say from 10mph to 65mph, then I move my foot off the gas and let the car slow down on its own without using the brakes.. Somewhere between 50mph to 40mph the car jerks once while auto shifting.

It sounds like it's shifting pretty good in the video. They probably just have your pressures raised a little high. If you don't like it shifting that hard you could ask the tuner about maybe lowering you shift pressure down a little.

It takes time getting used to. When I had it in my old G8GT, it was a different driving experience. The shifts are quicker and crisper up and down.

Nothing stuck out to me, seems about like what you'd expect from a modest stall.

Thank you for the response guys. After driving it for a little while I'm getting used to it, and it's way more fun to drive
