V-Bands and catback?

Does anyone use v-bands on a typical catback system? I've noticed that i have a couple of exhaust leaks that I need to tweak after installing my new AWE exhaust this past weekend, and I can't for the life of me get the leaks to go away. Any suggestions?

I had my mid pipe and axle back welding together, makes the system easier to drop / install with no alignment issues.... but does make it a bit harder to handle working from jack stands. I think having V bands at that location would make dropping / installing easier, but perhaps a pinch more work to get everything aligned again. Food for thought.

Interesting, I just want the "ticking" sound to go away lol i don't care if it will make it more difficult to remove in the future....It sure is annoying though

I never had any issues getting my AWE catback to seal, the only place I had trouble getting a consistent seal with from the Kooks headers to the high flow cat connection pipes. I used this sealant and the leaks went away. Its very durable and will hold up for years. I know people that have used it for slip fit exhaust parts too so this is an option. Either of these will work but one allows more work time before sealing.

I'd hate to have to use that stuff if i didn't have too. It seems like the exhaust is coming from where the pipe inserts into the other. Specifically where there are little notches.....maybe i'm not installing the clamps correctly but I never had this issue with the old Borla i had.
