Things to consider.
1. Knowledge of basic mechanics. 2. Experience in engine building. 3. Tools required to do this work. (alot) 4. Someone available to help that has experience. I understand your wanting to do the work and I commend you for wanting do it yourself. Saying that, there are many small details that go into building a reliable engine. The easy part is saying what you want. Good luck going forward.
