I remember one of my only hot rodding mentors hoarding parts in the 80s for his cars which included a 1 of 3 factory race car called an Astra GT, a hemi challenger and a 70s Vette, all built. His tow pig was a 70s Ford rollback wrecker with a 440 wedge. I remember when he stopped racing the hemi and went to a stroked wedge motor because he did not want to break the hemi and not be able to find another. The internet has made finding parts a much easier task now, but they are still disappearing. If you intend to run these cars for years to come, start putting your stash together. If you are ok with driving a disposable EV shit box, disregard. BTW, if the communists are successful at getting rid of the ICE vehicles, they will go after the performance on EVs next by creating efficiency standards for them too and the Plaid will become the Khaki.

I'm not sure why I haven't but I hadn't given much thought to hoarding parts. Certainly makes sense though given 'the state of things.' Not sure where to start. I would hope the venerable LS 6.2L motor stays fairly easy to find parts for but you never know.
Probably start with a blend door!

I've only owned one gen 4 Camaro - a 95 Z/28 vert. I didn't think much of the gen 4 cars then and still don't, so they'll never be on my radar with the possible exception of the Trans Am Firehawk. But yeah, like you, Moto, I'll probably start with a blend door or two...hahaha

One of the best ram air systems ever engineered, IMHO. At the time it was produced, it had the shortest profile (the height between the air intake and the exhaust) helping give it better flow characteristics, ie more air, faster. It's not flat of course, but very close.
