Struggling to Start?
I have a brand new 23 2SS with 3900 miles on it. If I didn't know any better it seems like my car is struggling to start just a little - especially for a new car.
Anyone else experience this? What is the remedy? |

Probably some sort of starter issue, take it to the dealer since the car is new and under warranty.

The starter in these things are junk with no heat shield.
I'm still on the original one though at almost 80k miles. |

The Camaro does seem like it takes longer than other cars I've owned to start. I understand it has to do with the V8s being direct injection. I had some issues with my 1LE not wanting to start or starting and immediately cutting off after sitting for several days or even sometimes for a week or longer. When that happened I would get a check engine light. My dealer couldn't replicate the problem. The code I was getting was a lack of fuel pressure at start up. When I would make a second attempt to start the car it would fire up and run fine.
Thankfully this issue has cleared up once I put a couple of thousand miles on the car. Knock on wood the problem seems to have resolved. Unless your car won't start, starts and then immediately cuts off or if you are getting a check engine light when trying to start the car I would say what you are experiencing is not unusual.

Nope....66k miles in mine but replaced the battery simply due to age about 6 months ago even though it still worked.

On a new car I would check out the battery and connections first.
