E brake couldn’t hold up????
Hello my fellow LT4 owners,
Last weekend I went hard on a touge’ run and as we met on the downhill I’ve noticed my car kept on rolling even though the E brake (parking brake) was on. Even the indicator light on the dash was on? It took a few min before I could let go of the brake pedal. Is this brake fade I keep hearing? My next oil change is due soon just waiting for Amazon to ship my supercar Mobil 1 oil, so I can also check my rear brakes. At 6k miles I hope my rear brakes are still good. I went thru my first set of tires at 5k (damn it costs to have fun but smiles per gallon has no price for it. Basically you gotta pay to play) Your opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated, and I would like to thank yall in advance, Fred |

take the rear rotors off and check the internal brake shoes. They may require replacement or adjustment. Most times they just need adjusting. You can engage the parking brake (prior to removing the rotor) once you remove the wheel to ensure the brake is engaging. You can hear the electric motor easily to confirm its function as well.
