Just got allocated a 2024 2SS How would you build it?
Just got word that I should get an allocated slot for a 2SS. Going with Riptide Blue and most likely the A10 this time around. What other must haves should this car have in your expert opinions to get some enjoyment out of and of course make it desirable in a few years for the next owner.
Interior, brake upgrades, magnetic ride, etc.. Thanks |

2SS, I would load it up, and I would personally go with a M6…but that’s a personal preference.

Don't go SS 1LE in riptide blue with red seat belts, blacked out camaro badging, illuminated door sills and strut tower brace. Cause that's what I did lol

Go with what options you want. I have a ‘22 2SS and you can see what options I have.

...but if that's not an option, get the 1LE package with the performance data recorder (PDR). This gives you the best value, it already includes magnetic ride control, big brakes, dual mode exhaust, and comes with the best Camaro wheels GM has ever produced—easily the most desirable SS configuration for your future buyer. The absolute, very best value is likely only attainable with the manual trans, but the automatic also works very well. You can't really add any serious exterior options (such as splitters, spoilers, ground effects or side skirts) if you go 1LE, however, small tchotchkes such as fender badges and the black or carbon fiber fuel door are still worth it. In terms of interior, every OEM option (except for the performance data recorder) can be added after the fact as you see fit, but if you're concerned these parts will go away soon, load her up with the carbon fiber dash panel, alloy sport pedals, console lid with the heritage logo, suede knee pads, illuminated footwells, and also throw in the cargo net so the trunk doesn't feel neglected. I'd get the navigation option as well, but won't mention it because of the local google maps/waze army itching to jump on anyone that wants DIC and HUD integrated, always available navigation. The price will be pretty hefty for an SS, but if you don't mod the car and take good care of it, you should be able to recoup the cost and maybe even more when you throw her to the curb down the road.

Build the Camaro with the options you want and make it yours! That’s my advice and I agree with arpad_m and consider a ZL1 if you can afford it.

Aren’t allocations based on the trim level as well. I.e. if you’re allocated an SS there is no option to order a ZL1..? You would need a ZL1 allocation.

It also looks as though this is your 3rd consecutive Camaro purchase. You should have some idea of what you’re doing, otherwise you’re too far gone anyway. The Camaro really hasn’t changed much in years; the desirable or undesirable options are the same as they’ve been for a long time.

2SS, a10, 1LE, PDR. no Sunroof if you are tall, you lose quite a bit of headroom.
