LT1 disappointment

After the wait, the delivery and hopes of fun driving. I made it 116 miles before the check engine light came on. Realized it when the remote start wouldn't work.
Took it in, they checked all and not fixed. Had the car a day and a half. Was told had to run gas to less than half tank because they want to pull the tank. So after driving the gas out for a week I take it in today.
I never got an On star report so I called yesterday. They sent a May report of no issues and a June with code P2635, which the dealer already had.
Interestingly, they said on the report it was an SS. Also, the June report listed it in my wife's name. She's nowhere on the paperwork.
It's Thursday and they will give me a car, again. So I'm wondering if this means till next week.
Disappointed that I had to ask for the On star check and all that's transpired.
Not blaming the dealer. All this came from G.M.

Guess that code is a tuning issue. Improper Air-Fuel Mix.

Not sure about the remote start though.

Is this a new LT1 or a used one?

Remote start will not work if there is an active CEL, it has to be cleared first.

P2635- Fuel pump “A” Low Flow/Performance. They should be able to fix it after dropping the tank.

Co-worker's 2017 truck pop's that code every time he gets on the throttle. He might put a pump in it some day.

LT1 is classified as an SS in a lot of things I've seen.

And as other mentioned the remote start will not function with a check engine light.

Maybe the pump itself.
Maybe the pressure sensor not reporting accurately.
Maybe wiring to either pump or sensor.
I would check a few things before dropping the tank, which is not really a big deal. But I would not jump to that.

If you used your GM Card discount on the purchase, that may be how your wife’s name got on it.

Every new car I've bought usually has 1 weird malfunction. It doesn't mean the car will be a lemon though.

Sorry to hear it, OP, unfortunately these things happen occasionally. Hope the dealer/GM will make you whole and you'll finally be able to lean back and enjoy your new Camaro.

You’re definitely not lying about that. My c6 vette had issues the whole first month and it was brand new. Just recently got a 23 2SS brand new and at about 200 miles a coolant hose came loose on the driver auxilary cooler leaked all the coolant out. I was 15hrs from home lol

See then people wonder why I only buy used cars. I figure someone else already worked out the kinks from the dealer lot.
