Now that is a fairy tale ending if there ever was one, hope it'll work out for you

Two 2023 ZL1 Camaros

I was just checking my dealer (mschevy dot com) and saw two ZL1 Camaros listed as "IN TRANSIT" which means that they are probably in transit with my 1LT that I ordered 3-1-23 scheduled to deliver 4-24-23.
One are Sharkskin Silver, one is White (Convert) and they also have a LT1 in Sharkskin if anyone is interested!

I ordered a ZL1 in February and so far, no allocation. You're gonna need bigger patience.

When did you first order?

Ok because I ordered 4/10 and my dealer said they had an allocation and that GM accepted the order on 4/13 but it’s still at 1100 status. I think I’ll order at some more dealers also

No No No No No...

The ONLY reason they need your SSN is so they can not only sell you a car but sell the financing too. If you do want or need their financing help there is absolutely no reason to do a credit check. Read the fine print on the form they make you fill out. It's a freaking loan application.

They will give you every excuse in the book including needing it for a title or registration but never give a dealership your SSN.

I ordered my LT1 through the same dealer. Had them do PDI but no cleanup, brought it home with plastic on seats and steering wheel. No complaints, plus got a t-shirt.

Dealers tend to use the allocation term loosely.

Status 1100 is Order Placed at Dealership and it has not been accepted by GM. So they dont have an allocation or not assigned your build to the allocation they have.

Well turns out they didn’t have an allocation I called for my order number to check status. Then they said well it turns out the allocation was gone they don’t know how it happened. So now I placed an order at another dealership that said they have allocation but I’m 2nd in line waiting for it to be picked up.

Hope you end up with an allocation soon.

I have seen Chevy dealers using the term "allocation" very loosely as we get an order number even at 1100 status. With some other OEMs, dealer cannot provide an order number without an actual allocation / build slot.

New splitter was indeterminate TBD, so took delivery with the promissory note to get it installed when it finally comes in. Happy day 04/11

Put in my order on October 6th and got accepted way sooner than I thought. Expected to start production May 8th. I cannot wait to finally own this car and finally be apart of the V8 club(considering I’ve owned the other two engines i4 and v6 lol). Now we wait and see how long it sits after production is complete.

Full order is a rapid blue 2SS 1LE.

Already got the 1LE badges in the way and not looking forward to the long break in for track use.
