Resale Value?

Read the other day a article about 25 cars with the worst resale value or the % of loss the first year. The 2015 Camaro I know it's not a Gen5 came in at 21. Do you find that to be about right or do you disagree.

FYI the Mustang was not on the list.

Uhh 2015 is definitely still a 5th Gen. It seems to me that the 5th Gen values have only been climbing higher over the last couple years (yea I know everything has)

Surely this is a troll post. 5th gen Camaros are model years 2010-2015. If you believe that a Mustang's value doesn't drop like a rock you must be a Ford fan boy.

They're still selling rather high around my area, so I'm not certain I buy what that article (if it exists) is selling.

I could still get 20k for my car and I have had it for 10years

I paid 26k for it so I would say there is little to no depreciation on it.

Yeah don't believe everything you read. And i don't, not a Ford fan boy for sure.

In this part of Texas Mustang out number us by maybe 3 to 1
Which is fine by me. I bought a 2013 2ss with 75K on it. Last December for 24,995
I thought that was a fair price still do.

Depreciation is strongly dependent on model and mods.

So the 2015 isn't a gen5 and the Mustang has better resale than a Camaro.
Huh.
Well, meths everywhere nowadays.

Yea, it does depend on options, Mine actually went up in price. al least that's what the tax office said when i asked why did the Taxes on the car go up.
the appreciation has gone up from last year.

They were offering pretty steep discounts on 2015s to clear the inventory for Gen6 models, and then resale on all Gen5s was not good for a year or so when the Gen6 came out. Maybe it was based on old data, but GenVs have definitely held value and become pretty popular. Mustangs are pretty cheap around here compared to GenV and Gen6 Camaros.

Pricing charts for 2010-2015 Camaro, Mustang, Challenger from Jan 2020 when covid started. Generic since it all depends on condition, mileage, trim, location, etc. but still interesting data at a high level.

I've noticed pricing starting to slip on used cars lately - I picked up my '11 2SS L99 convertible with only 4.7k miles for $27.5k a few months ago from a dealer in Cleveland. Coming into winter helped a bit - not sure topless cars sell great up there in the winter.

Camaro's & Corvette's saw some of the greatest increases during the pandemic and only time will tell how they retain their value.
