Do the whole car.

Suntek or Expel.

Installer is more important than the product.

Do not do it at home.

Should take 4 days (maybe 5 with ceramic) if done properly.

That's not a brand I've heard of. A quick google search leads me to believe Invisiguard is an installer / dealer (not a brand / manufacturer) and they carry Suntek/Llumar PPF.

I found Gtechniq EXO works very well and has also lasted for years, and it doesn't water spot as bad as some ceramics. Suntek has a newer film called "Reaction" that has hydrophobic properties built in.

Thanks for the recommendations, The whole car would be ideal but to be honest Im not sure my budget will allow.

Full Hood
Full Fenders
Full Front bumper
A Pillar
Partial roof
Mirrors and door cups

I was quoted $1800, and $300 for the tint. So that is $2100
I will ask about the whole car cost, I do have a budget I want to stay with in

1st it was waiting for the car, now it is waiting for the PPF appt. Trying to keep the car as mint as possible so little to no driving until PPF.

Do the whole car. Yes, expensive, but you will thank me. It's trouble free ownership. No more freaking out when some dick leans against your car, no more swirl marks from incorrect washing, no more etching from bird shit, no more polishing, and no paint chips. Just sit her in the sun for an hour..... Go have a beer or 2, then sit back and admire! It truly is a remarkable product.

Also do rockers and a heavy-duty layer (12 mil I think) in front of the rear wheels all the way up to the top of the wheel well. This is actually the most important part. I'd also consider a piece behind the license plate and below the rear trunk lid.

Your quote sounds pretty reasonable. I did it myself and got a decent but not perfect result, would pay that to have it done for sure.

That's a good price. Two important additions:

1. Make sure it includes oversized patterns, removal and replacement of emblems, removal and replacement of heat extractor, and tucking and wrapping so there are no visible seams. If done properly there will be only two seams on the outer corners above the headlights.

2. It's very important to include the rockers up to the convex body line in the door, and the spats in the rear. If you don't do this, make sure you get rock guards from ACS or ZL1 Addons.

Yes it's worth paying more for both. Installer matters here. Don't go cheap with someone whose never done a ZL1, you'll regret being the guinea pig. Find the best installer in your area, make sure they've done a ZL1, and pay them well. You'll be glad you did.

This is what a hyper blue SS 1LE looks like after 41k miles and 2 years without rock guards or PPF...Note how high the chips are up on the rear quarter.

Honestly, for the mileage that's not terrible and can be compounded out. The fact that it's white just shows that the clear is damaged. It's the deep chips that are problematic.

I got the car done, I did not to the entire car as 7-8k was just outside what I was willing to spend on it. I spent 3k all in, including tint

I got the complete
hood ( not putting the ZL1 badges back, I like it smooth )
bumper
splitter
fenders
A pillars
partial roof to the sunroof ( OmG a Se@M!)
backs of mrriors
door cups
door jams - f you shoe scuffs
side skirts
partial doors, just the lower part
panel in front of rear tire ( I dont know the name ) but my previous C7 got hammered there also

I am happy with the work and it goes back next week for a check up after a week of drying cure time.

I hope the PPF and the ACS guards will keep the car looking good for years
