Sway bars

Are standard ZL1 sway bars different from SS bars? I replaced mine with Hotchkiss and my sons friend said he would buy my old ones. I don’t want to sell him something that the same as he already has.

I’d suggest you browse this thread for the comparison of parts.

Get him to measure thickness of his bars vs thickness of your ZL1 bars. You can use a wrench.

Not sure that tells the whole story. My new Hotchkiss is with adjustable 20/40/70% more that the stock and both bars are 1 1/8. That’s why I’m asking.

ZL1 bars are the FE4 suspension. The SS are FE3, however if he has a 1LE or optioned out the performance suspension he could have the FE4.

Chrome383Z has it right: unless your son's friend has the 1LE package on his SS, your FE4 bars will be stiffer.

It’s a regular SS. Thanks
