Quick Jack
does anyone know if Quick Jack, Bendpac is still in business. I ordered a 5k lift and have not heard from them. I sent two emails with no response.

I spoke to their customer service department back on March 31st regarding a question I was having on my unit, so unless they went out of business within the last couple of weeks, they're still alive and kicking.

That's weird, you'd think they would communicate something even if they're not in stock.
I bought one awhile back and received it quickly, although I found their Customer Service to be sloooooow at sending replacement parts. |

I was getting worried because I sent 2 emails with no response. Today, I get half of the order in the mail. They didn't send me the right side unit. I did call customer support and they told me that it is in transit.

Happens more frequently than before, split shipments can arrive at wildly different times. I had half my garage cabinets delivered in two weeks, the rest came in almost a month later.

And QJ uses FedEx, which is the worst delivery company in existence (at least in my area). One of the boxes routed around the USA before reaching me, despite all originating from the same warehouse. They delivered the SLX extensions to MY NEIGHBOR'S house, thankfully I have cameras and saw delivery clown pull into his driveway. |

I bought my QJ from costco and not direct from MFG but the whole package came as 3 pieces on a 1/2 pallet
Guess they did this themself so they don't accidently send partial

When I ordered mine, I got the two rails in one shipment, the pump/control unit came two days later.

I ordered mine for CostCo last year, it showed up in 3 separate deliveries spaced over the course of a week.
Are the extensions required for the Camaro? |

You should search here for other threads. I know someone has used the QJ withOUT the extensions but I always use them. |

I cut access to the pinch weld forward of the rear jack point. I had to cut a tiny bit of wrapped under body panel to do it. I put zl1 addon jack pads front and back. Now I can use my standard size quick jack and still have jack points available for jack stands. I never get under a car with only one type of support. It has the added benefit of not leaving so much nose hanging out unsupported.

For the 7000 series, plenty long enough as is. I have the 5000EXT and no extensions needed, they are the longer 5000 series version. I get the rear point and the second front point, not the furthest behind the front wheel, the one behind that. Works great, plenty stable. For the non EXT 5000 (forget what letters they use LOL!) extensions would be advised, but have seen a few on here that use without. I think they are 7" inches shorter than the EXT? Don't quote me, old memory! As stated above, several threads discussing these as well. |

I have a 5000TLX... it BARELY reaches the approved lift points. Honestly, an inch shorter and it would have been a problem. The pinchwelds are only exposed on mine at a couple of locations. I can get it on the rear opening, and the more rear-ward of the front two openings. Would have liked to use the more forward front pinch weld lift points. You might even think about the 6000 ELX, which is even longer... but that may be too long?
