Am grateful for the chance to be able to drive a Camaro. If I could, I would rather take a helm in partnering to solve world problems in a substantial way. Until then, I'll settle for a few minutes of enjoyment a day in an amazing car in a turbulent world.

Damn optimist! :P That's actually a great disposition, especially given some of the raw footage that I've had the displeasure of seeing online lately.

The nearest Costco with gas is 30 mile round trip for me, to save 50¢ a gallon, pretty much a wash cost-wise. Not that I go to Costco anyway .I don't have room for a freezer full of bagels and don't need huge bulk quantities of stuff.

I'm WFH full-time and my Camaro, Malibu daily-driver both run on regular and get pretty good mileage. I had budgeted $5 a gallon gas for a while now so there is an incremental cost increase now obviously, but nothing I can't manage. I do about 7K miles a year on the Camaro...which will continue because it's such great car to zoom around in.

Things that make you say hmmmmm.

I watched a video on this yesterday. I wish I could find it again. It had one of the oil companies being interviewed and asked that exact question. You have permits why are you not drilling? He answered it and it had to do with the permits needed once the oil was found, that our current administration would not issue or slow walk. He said none of the oil companies were acting on the permits for that reason.

Here, this also explain why...

The biggest issue is that who wants to put up the capital to explore and develop under an administration that has declared a war on fossil fuels? You're more than likely to get shut down after a huge investment and they know it.

This is the free market capitalism at work, there is no shortage of toilet paper nor was the supply that affected, but people see a scary event and they start to buy more toilet paper than they need, so the price is raised, as the price is raised, people panic more and buy even more toilet paper at the inflated price, rinse and repeat...

Oh, I meant to say gasoline instead of toilet paper , too bad "regulation" is a scary word because something something socialism, but the economy won't collapse, it's just people being stupid, as usual.

Well the Gov isn't trying to phase out toilet paper... LOL. Gas & Oil on the other hand.
