ISO/WTB A-Pillar Retainer Clip (UPDATE: FOUND)

Update: Part found and replaced!

[top]Original Post

Hey C5 Family,

I’m reaching out to you all in hopes that someone in this huge community can help me out. I sent my triple pod a-pillar to be reworked for the rear pod housings to be enlarged for easier accessibility and when they cut the back openings they also accidentally cut the safety strap off the retainer clip that secures the trim into place on the pillar.

This is what the part is supposed to look like:

I ordered what appeared to be this clip P/N 11611451 for my 2010 Camaro from GM Parts Store but what they sent me was definitely not the correct piece I needed. I received some sort of 12 inch metal rod with a 90° bend on one end and threading on the other. No idea what it’s used for. I emailed them back with an inquiry but no response.

I even called several local junk yards to see if they had any 2010-11 Camaro's on their lot that I could scavenge off but no luck. One place in NJ said it would cost me $48 shipped which seems outrageously overpriced for a small plastic clip.

I was hoping someone on here has a spare of the correct A-Pillar Retainer Clips laying around that they didn’t need and would be willing to send me? Please let me know, TYIA!
